A long time ago it was believed that the word news was composed of the initials of North, East, West, and South.

This popular theory, however, is incorrect. In reality, news emerged in the 14th century through the pluralization of the word new, and at Manytown, a Charleston-focused publication, the new makes the news.

We built the site to support both short- and long-form content. Few things deserve a full story, but many are worthy of a few lines.
