Kultura to open on Oct. 24
The Filipino restaurant which relocated from its original location at 73 Spring Street to a bigger space at 267 Rutledge Avenue, will open its doors on Oct. 24. Opening hours will be 5-10 PM Thursday through Monday and reservations can be made through Resy.
The Wedge opens
The business has officially opened a storefront to go alongside its food truck. The new spot is located at 2487 Ashley River Rd, Unit 2, and hours are 8 AM to 2 PM, Wednesday through Sunday.
Allora is now open
The latest concept from Free Reign Restaurants is now open at 114 Spring St. The menu highlights handmade pastas, fresh crudi, antipasti, and conserva di pesce, paired with Amalfi-inspired cocktails, a wide spritz menu, and boozy pops. Check out the menu here.

All-you-can-eat
Starting today, Tsunami Japanese Restaurant in Mount Pleasant is introducing all-you-can-eat, all day long. The new deal for adults is $28.99 per person and includes sushi.
Bagelville
Ruby's Bagels is opening its fifth location in Summerville at 1288 Nexton pkwy in ~2 weeks.
New 🍕on the menu
Starting tomorrow afternoon, Bohemian Bull in Mount Pleasant will be soft opening their new Pizza menu. The restaurant spent two months working out its hand tossed dough, house made sauce and wood fired pizza oven.
Pho & Padthai to open next month
The new restaurant offering Vietnamese and Thai dishes will open on October 3rd in West Ashley. Head chef and co-owner Tee Nguyen has operated Lanna Thai in Ashley Phosphate and Pho Bowl in Goose Creek – both of which have been passed on to her nieces and nephews. The restaurant is located at 1662 Savannah Hwy Suite 202.

Rivayat is opening tomorrow
The Indian restaurant, which is owned by the owners of Spice Palette, will open tomorrow at 210 Rutledge Ave. Check out their menu here.
New restaurant to open in Kultura’s space
The Filipino restaurant, which is relocating from its original location at 73 Spring Street, will be replaced by Xolo, an Oaxacan-inspired spot serving breakfast burritos, pancakes, chilaquiles and more. Led by Asheville chef Luis Martinez, Xolo will also offer dinner twice a week and the place is expected to open in November.

The CODfather is now open on Mondays from 11AM - 9PM. The fish and chips restaurant is located in Park Circle, North Charleston.

Iggy’s new 🍕 pilot
Iggy's Pizza Shop in Mount Pleasant will offer a limited quantity (25) of partially baked (2/3) pizzas customers can pick up and finish baking at home. The pizzas are available for pickup today and tomorrow.
Comeback
Blu Oyster on Johns Island, which announced its closure late last year (and reopened several months ago), is coming back as a BBQ restaurant. Opening this weekend, the spot will offer brisket, beef cheeks, and other BBQ essentials along with... oysters. The space will have 20 TVs and an arcade for kids.
All night long
DoorDash announced the rollout of all night delivery (9pm-8am) for Waffle House, powered exclusively by DoorDash Drive on-Demand. Customers can place orders directly through order.wafflehouse.com or the Waffle House Ordering mobile app. A select number of Waffle House locations in cities like Charleston (2571 Ashley Phosphate Road in North Charleston and 2345 Broad River Road in Columbia) are available for 24/7 delivery on the DoorDash app.

LoLA Mount Pleasant, the restaurant offering Louisiana- and New Orleans-style dishes, has a new menu item: Blackened Salmon BLT on a toasted baguette with sundried tomato aioli.

The Charleston restaurant has published the Fleet Landing Cookbook, which includes 68 recipes of its signature dishes and coastal classics.
Odd Duck Market is coming to downtown Charleston
The cafe and retail market located in Park Circle will open its second location at 637 Rutledge Avenue in early 2026.
Chef and owner of Eleven Madison Park is coming to Charleston
Three-Michelin-starred chef Daniel Humm will open a yearlong pop-up at The Charleston Place starting October 2, taking over the former Charleston Grill space. The collaboration, titled “Chef Daniel Humm x The Charleston Place, Presented by Resy,” emphasizes plant-forward, climate-conscious cuisine featuring Lowcountry ingredients through a $135 five-course prix fixe menu.
Beyond dining, the partnership includes an apprenticeship exchange program between Charleston culinary professionals and Eleven Madison Park staff, along with additional guest chef residencies throughout the year.
